Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium
About Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is a compact, atmospheric venue in the twin-city region of Rawalpindi-Islamabad. Despite its modest 15,000 capacity, it generates one of the most intense atmospheres in PSL cricket due to its tight seating configuration. The stadium gained global attention when it hosted Test matches during the return of international cricket to Pakistan in 2019-2022, with the Rawalpindi pitch drawing scrutiny for its flat nature in Tests. In T20s, however, the surface offers good pace and carry, making it a pacer's dream. The stadium serves as the home ground for both Islamabad United and the new Rawalpindi Pindiz franchise in PSL 11, setting up a unique twin-city derby rivalry that has captured the imagination of fans.

Pitch Report
The Rawalpindi pitch offers genuine pace and carry, making it the best venue in PSL for fast bowlers. The ball comes onto the bat nicely for batsmen willing to play pace, but seam movement in the first few overs can trouble top-order batters. Dew is minimal due to lower humidity levels compared to Lahore. Spin bowlers find it the hardest venue in PSL.
